This Resource Center seeks to offer clear, accessible insights and information into the digital infrastructure ecosystem — its components, its economic and community impact, and the policies shaping its growth — to better equip local leaders, stakeholders, and the public to engage with and help guide this vital sector.

Data centers are just one component of the broader digital infrastructure ecosystem — an interconnected network that includes fiber, subsea cables, cloud services, and edge technologies. Together, these elements create far-reaching economic opportunities, strengthen regional competitiveness, and present policy and workforce challenges that extend well beyond data centers alone.
